Pearl believes in community engagement and we welcome the opportunity to work with students. Pearl attends the RIT Career Fair every year and selects a handful of young professionals to co-op at the facility. Students spend 10 or more weeks working as a Design Engineer.
They use SolidWorks create and develop parts and designs. Students apply a variety of engineering principles—mechanical, electrical, and packaging—to various engineering problems. They are a part of small individual projects as well as larger group assignments. They’re responsible for creating concepts and designs by analyzing product specifications, performance requirements, and existing manufacturing capabilities. To further enhance the experience, co-ops get to work in the R&D room and on the shop floor.
