Control Slit Lengths & Patterns on a Moving Web 

The SmartPerf can vary specifications on the slit such as length, spacing, and repeat patterns. This unit is ideal for venting and aeration in poly webs. 

Pearl’s pneumatic unit can be set to dwell in the film for a specified amount of time, creating a longer slit in the web direction. The system can be programmed to create various spaces between each slit in the machine direction. Coupling this with multiple slits in the transverse direction, the SmartPerf can create parallel slit patterns or offset/varying slit patterns. Inputs from a photo eye or encoder, as well as outputs, can be delayed via a timer in the controller.
