Pearl Technologies Introduces New Punching Unit for Heavier Films

[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″ css=”.vc_custom_1572289842668{margin-right: 40px !important;}”][vc_custom_heading text=”New ORKA Unit boasts large teeth equipped to cut tough films.” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]Pearl’s Large Tooth ORKA Unit is specifically designed for punching heavy duty, multi-layer PE and laminated bags and pouches.  When you don’t want dimples and scalloped edges on thicker materials, the ORKA is the answer.  The oversized teeth are great for cutting handles or edges in high quality packaging applications for liquids and solids. 

The pneumatic unit has an interchangeable die plate and independent web clamp system, which means the operator can swap out the punch shape depending on the job order.  ORKA has a maximum achievable cut out size of 10” x 10” (254mm x 254mm). 

This unit is engineered for the intermittent cycle of a bag or pouch machine line, and is available in a side rail or cross rail configuration.  The final look of the unit can differ depending on its accommodations – large round, handle hole, or unique punching shapes.  To prevent operator injury, an acrylic guard surrounds the blade. 

If desired, pneumatic and electrical controls for the web clamp allow for more tension control.  Optional slug tube removal assemblies are also available.
